The President of the Workers' Party Michael Finnegan has welcomed the release
on bail of Sean Garland this afternoon (Friday).
"On behalf of Sean, his family, the Workers' Party and his supporters I
would like to sincerely thank all those who sent messages of goodwill and solidarity, those who assited with the campaign
and those who signed the Petition on Sean's behalf".
"Sean will now, in conjunction with his legal team, be preparing a robust
and comprehensive defence. In the meantime a campaign committee will be formed next week to carry on the campaign to
stop the extradition of Sean to the United States", said Mr. Finnegan.
